Troubleshoot your Social Accounts
Updated over a year ago

Once you connect your Facebook account, you will be able to see all the Instagram accounts connected to it, and the connection status for each.

The warning message “Your action is required in # account" means that there is an error preventing functionalities like collect, ask for rights, etc, for at least one account.

You will need to follow the troubleshooting guidelines based on the displayed error message.

The Facebook user is not an Admin of the Brand Page.

  4. Type a name or email in the box and select the person from the list that appears.

  5. Select the drop down list named as Editor and choose the ‘Admin’ role from the dropdown menu.

  6. Select Add and enter your password to confirm.

The Facebook user account does not have the proper permissions

  • Cannot Collect From Instagram Business Profiles

Reason: This problem occurs if either, the Facebook user account connected to the Social Native platform (formerly Olapic) has not selected all the checkboxes during the connection process or the Facebook user Account has revoked permissions to Social Native (formerly Olapic) after completing the original connection process.

How to solve:

Step 1. Disconnecting your Facebook User Account from the Social Native platform:

  1. Log into Social Native.

  2. Access the Settings tab by navigating to the top left menu, next to your brand logo.

  3. Then, in the left menu click Social Accounts.

  4. Then, to the right of your Facebook User Account click "Remove".

Step 2. Reconnect your Facebook user account to the Social Native (formerly Olapic) platform.

  1. Log into Social Native.

  2. Access the Settings tab by navigating to the top left menu, next to your brand logo.

  3. Then, in the left menu click Social Accounts.

  4. Click the Connect button, then select the social media you want to connect to. A pop-up will appear. Click Start, and a new pop-up will open.

Important Note for Step 4: It will ask you if you want to continue logging in with the same Facebook user account. Make sure to select the Log in to another account option and use the same credentials you hold, instead of connecting as per the prompted message:

  5. After this, you’ll be able to select the Instagram Business Accounts and the Facebook pages you want to use with Social Native (formerly Olapic). Then, you need to grant Social Native permission to link with the selected accounts.

    1. Remember: All the checkboxes from your Facebook and Instagram brand accounts should be selected. If not, the connection process with our platform can fail.

  6. Once connected, another pop-up will appear confirming the connection and you’ll be taken back to the Social Native.

  7. Review and confirm everything is now showing green dots.
