Schedule posts using the Content Publisher

Overview

Our Content Publisher lets you schedule images to launch days, weeks, or even months in advance, giving you greater access and control over your consumer messaging. Once you've posted your images, use the Publisher Analytics Dashboard to gain insights on your brand’s content performance.

Adding Images to the Library

You can add an image to Library two different ways.

  1. Upload- to manually upload an image to the library simply click the "Upload Media" button in the top right-hand corner of the library tab. You can then drag and drop an image into the uploader or click in the uploader to open up your folders. Once images have been added click "Upload" and either save to the library or begin to schedule the recently uploaded images straight away. To upload videos, make sure you’re in the Videos tab of the Library before uploading

  2. Piq It- to use the Piq It extension, click on the gear icon > apps and extensions > Chrome Extension / FireFox Extension. Once the extension is downloaded, you can go to any website, click the extension, and grab all of the photos off of that page. Once the images have been loaded into the dashboard you can either save the to the library and begin to schedule the recently uploaded images. Note: only use PiqIt for images you have the rights to use

Scheduling to Instagram

To begin the scheduling flow, go to the Library and click on all the photos you want to add to Instagram and then follow these steps:

  1. Select the images you want to schedule and click the blue “Publish” button in the top right hand corner

  2. Complete the sentence at the top of the dashboard

    1. You can decide to schedule content immediately or decide to schedule it for later

    2. Pick Instagram as the channel you want to schedule the photo – if you have more than one account connected via Facebook Business Manager select the account you want to post to

  3. Fill in the caption(s). Note: if scheduling a video, always copy (control + c / cmnd + c) the caption with your keyboard.

  4. Click “Schedule” and choose the date and time you want the photo to post and then “Schedule items”. Remember, the time is based on the timezone selected in the Settings section.

  5. For photos not within 1.91:1 and 4:5 or videos or you must use the Instagram scheduler app (gear icon > apps and extensions > Instagram scheduler for iOS)

    1. At the scheduled time, the app you will receive a notification to tell you that you have a video ready to post.

    2. Swipe the notification and you will be brought to Instagram where you can post as usual.

    3. Note: it is currently not possible to schedule carousel posts or Instagram Stories

Scheduling to Pinterest

To begin the scheduling flow, go to the Library and click on all the photos you want to add to Pinterest and then follow these steps:

  1. Select the images you want to schedule and click the blue “Publish” button in the top right hand corner

  2. Complete the sentence at the top of the dashboard

    1. You can decide to schedule a Pin immediately or decide to schedule it for later

    2. Pick Pinterest as the channel you want to schedule the photo – you can then either schedule to a new board, an existing board, or to different boards

  3. You can update the pin url and pin details below the image thumbnail

  4. After adding all of the relevant meta data click "Schedule"

  5. Lastly decide if you want to automatically or manually schedule the pins

    1. Automatic - we look at when your users are on Pinterest and determine the best times you should post (10 per 24 hour window)

    2. Manual - You have full control over the number and times of each pin
      Click "Schedule Items" and your photos will post to Pinterest at the scheduled time
