Inside of the widgets section there are five different sources for populating widgets.

Each of these modes will populate the widget with media in their own distinct way.

The widget will populate with the most recently approved photos by the moderator from all streams and categories (all photos from your account). This works well for homepage and gallery page widgets where you want to show all types of photos, not just displaying a specific stream or category.

With the Stream option, you will then be prompted to search for the stream that you want to show in the widget instance. This works well for cases for when you have a stream created for a specific hashtag campaign. This also works well in cases where you want to show a set of photos from a specific stream.

With the Category option, you will be prompted to search for a category that you want to show in the widget instance. Category is a group of streams you can set up in the Streams tab in our admin. This works well for displaying a series of hashtag campaigns you may be running since you can group those in the admin.

This option is designed for use on product display pages (PDP's). This option allows you to plug in a product identifier, which will then be processed by the Earned Content Platform to return a set of photos matching the given product identifier. This option should only be used in junction with our product feed integration. Please be sure to plug in the appropriate product identifier for the widget to show appropriate content.
