Shoppable Galleries: Brands doing it right

Galleries featuring user-generated content are not only nice to look at, they also demonstrate social proof and give customers a sense of confidence before buying a product. It’s all about creating trust: 92% of consumers trust organic user-generated content more than they trust traditional advertising.

Therefore, embedding exceptional and authentic user-generated content on websites is a great way to spark brand desire, inspire brand loyalty, increase engagement and boost time spent on site and conversions.

Let's look at some awesome examples!

Suave

Suave selected a carousel widget and adapted the layout to match their site's aesthetic, combining a clean and simple design with a vibrant orange to highlight functionalities. The personal care brand called followers to action with a simple, memorable and brand-specific hashtag, asking them to share their beauty routines.

MADE

Made created a social gallery that allowed customers to shop straight from Instagram photos. The gallery's classic light color scheme and well-thought structure delivered a stylish and on-brand feel while shoppers got home decor inspiration, searched for products or uploaded their own photos to be featured. The “Shop This Style” area of the media lightbox featured each product and a caption by the user who posted it.

Bumble and Bumble

Bumble and Bumble included a responsive social gallery that featured customers’ best looks directly on its homepage. The layout was eye-catching and worked to attract viewers’ attention. The gallery displayed a set of gorgeous consumer photos, all linked to corresponding product pages, each featuring product-specific customer photos.

MATCHESFASHION.COM

MATCHESFASHION.COM decided to use a social gallery featuring brand ambassadors and influencers at the top of the page, in a custom made carousel design. The design looked balanced and sophisticated, with black and white accents. The smooth and infinite scrolling let users dive deep through the best and most stylish looks from Instagram. Customers could shop anything that caught their eye straight from the UGC gallery: in only a few clicks they could select clothing size, quantity and add items to their shopping bag without even leaving the social gallery.

Monki

Monki leveraged our API to create a custom-made UGC widget that was deployed on product detail pages. Photos of real customers wearing Monki's clothes were showcased prominently, right next to brand product shots. The modern-looking layout focused on the beautiful imagery, delivering an impressive shopping experience altogether.
