How to write perfect guidelines
Updated over 2 years ago

When building out your campaign, follow the next recommendations and best practices to clearly articulate requirements to the creators:

  1. Provide simple and concise directions.

  2. Keep it upbeat, friendly and inspiring.

  3. Prioritize and show what's most important first.

  4. Add information about your product and how it should be featured.

  5. Introduce a few key messaging points to be highlighted.

  6. Point out what style and tone you prefer: location, time of day, color palette, composition, use of props, etc.

  7. Don't force creators into writing an exact caption.

  8. Mention any calls to action to be included.

  9. Incorporate important disclosure details.

  10. Allow room for creativity and personality.

Guidelines Library

Based off on our learnings from running thousands of successful campaigns, we have compiled a list of sample guidelines for your content and captions. Our library will help you ensure that your guidelines:

  1. yield content that meets requirements and expectations and

  2. are positioned as actionable for your creators.

Simply copy and paste these guidelines into your order. You can use them as is, or edit them to make sense for your brand and campaign goals.
