The Media Editor is an on-platform tool that allows you to edit content to make it consistent and useful across your marketing channels.

Editing images

The Media Editor tool allows you to crop and resize images to a square format (1:1 ratio), as well as rotate an image 90 degrees. To access this feature, head to the Review Content section under User-Generated from the Home page. You can also navigate the left side Menu to Source > UGC > Curate > Content.

This tool is available in the New Content, Approved Content, and Saved For Later sections, offering the flexibility to edit images at various stages of the content pipeline.

πŸ“£ IMPORTANT NOTE

The Media Editor is not available in Syndicated Child Accounts. However, any content from the original account where media is edited will also be automatically edited for the syndicated accounts. This is because it affects the original file and, consequently, impacts all associated syndicated accounts.

Cropping and rotating images

To get started, choose the specific image you want to work on. Click 'View' and then 'Edit Media' in the bottom bar to access the editing options. This will open the selected media in the Media Editor.

To crop the image, choose the "square" option for an automatic square crop. Alternatively, use the area selector to define a specific part of the image to retain in the square format. To rotate the image, simply click 'Rotate Left' or 'Rotate Right' to make 90-degree adjustments. Once you've made the desired changes, click 'Save Changes' and allow a few minutes for the system to process the edits.

Finding edited content

If you've rotated or cropped a photo before or received edited media from your parent account or a brand account, locating this content is simple. Simply navigate to the 'Media Type' filter, and click on 'Edited Media' to exclusively view the content that has undergone editing.

Additionally, you can identify edited media by looking for the Edited Media icon overlaid on the photo. This makes it easy to track and manage the content that has undergone modifications.

Removing audio from videos

This feature enables users to effortlessly remove audio from their videos, providing enhanced control over content before it goes live on the Social Native platform, ensuring a polished and customized presentation. For a more in-depth explanation, check out this article.
