The Media Editor is an on-platform tool that allows you to edit content to make it consistent and useful across your marketing channels.

Editing images

With this tool, you can easily crop and resize images to a square format (1:1 ratio), ensuring consistency across all your marketing channels. The Media Editor also offers the option to rotate media by 90 degrees, allowing you to make adjustments to the orientation as needed. For a more in-depth explanation, check out this article.

Removing audio from videos

This feature enables users to effortlessly remove audio from their videos, providing enhanced control over content before it goes live on the Social Native platform, ensuring a polished and customized presentation.

πŸ“£ IMPORTANT NOTE

The Media Editor is not available in Syndicated Child Accounts. However, any content from the original account where audio is removed will also be automatically removed for the syndicated accounts. This is because the removal of audio affects the original file and, consequently, impacts all associated syndicated accounts.

To access this feature, head to the Review Content section under User-Generated from the Home page. You can also navigate the left side Menu to Source > UGC > Curate > Content.

This feature is available in the New Content, Approved Content, and Saved For Later sections, offering the flexibility to edit videos at various stages of the content pipeline. To get started, choose the specific video you want to edit, click 'View,' and then 'Edit Media' in the bottom bar.

⚑PRO TIP⚑

Streamline your editing process by using the filter option for videos under ''Media Type'' to easily locate the videos you wish to edit.

Upon selecting the Remove Audio option, a modal will appear, prompting you to confirm your decision. It's crucial to note that the removal of audio is permanent. To confirm, click on 'Yes, proceed' and give it a few minuted to process the operation.

Once the audio removal is successful, the video will be displayed in "Audio Removed" state, indicating that the chosen videos are now without sound or music. You'll notice a muted speaker icon in the thumbnail, showing the audio has been removed.

πŸ“£ IMPORTANT NOTE

Please note this feature is different from the "Remove audio from video" feature in the Gallery Widget. Unlike the Gallery one, which mutes all videos within the widget, the 'Edit Media' tool allows users to remove audio from individual videos, providing a more targeted approach.

This feature is especially valuable for managing content with copyrighted audio that brands usually cannot use. By removing the audio, you preserve the visual content, ensuring compliance with copyright regulations and safeguarding your creative assets.
