This article provides guidance on scheduling a collection by specifying a start and end date, rather than using the default "Unlimited time" option. For a step-by-step guide, please refer to the Create and manage collections article.
In the collection configuration, the Collection Period section offers the possibility to collect content within specific date ranges when the collection is enabled. There are two options for the scheduler:
Default Option: "Unlimited Time"
When selected, content fetching begins immediately after the collection is created. Since there is no defined end date, content fetching stops only when it's manually disabled in the dashboard.
Custom Start and End Dates
If you uncheck the "Unlimited time" option, you can choose both a start and end date:
Start Date: determines when the collection starts fetching content. Content gathering starts at midnight on the chosen date.
End Date: specifies when the collection stops fetching content. Content collection stops at midnight on the chosen end date. Please note the end date is automatically set to the day following the selected start date, so make sure that you choose your desired end date accordingly.
Within the Collection Manager dashboard, you will find a new column: Period of Time. If a scheduler has been defined for the collection, you will see the Start and End date displayed in this column. Otherwise, it will be indicated as "Unlimited."
