Our rights management workflows empower brands to connect with content creators and request their acknowledgment and permission to showcase their User-generated Content (UGC) across various marketing channels.
This new release simplifies the process, enhancing communication channels and improving outreach to creators. With the Rights Request feature, users can now directly engage creators via Instagram DMs, bypassing the limitations of comment requests.
By using the Rights Request through DMs feature, brands can efficiently handle requests, fostering stronger relationships with content creators while ensuring compliance with UGC usage policies.
What you need
Before anything else, ensure you've installed the latest version of the Rights Requester Chrome extension. This tool enables you to request rights for content gathered from hashtags and/or tags. If you haven't installed it yet, follow this detailed guide 👉 How to install the Rights Requester Extension.
Next, disconnect and reconnect your Instagram account from the Social Native platform to ensure we have the latest permissions. To do so, follow these simple steps:
Remove the "Olapic" Business Integration on the personal Facebook profile.
Return to Social Native's platform and reconnect the Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Lastly, make sure you’ve saved the rights messages that you’d like to send in the Rights Messages section. If you need assistance creating and editing your messages, refer to this article.
Ask for rights through Instagram DMs
Navigate to New Content: Start by accessing the New Content section and filter by Right Status > No rights to streamline your selection process.
Select Content: Choose the content you wish to request rights for by clicking on them and hitting the Approve button.
Send Rights Request: In the pop-up modal, select the Rights Message Group and Message you want to send. Choose the "Send request via direct message" radio button and click "Send Rights Request."
DM the Creator: A new tab will open to DM the creator. The Chrome Extension bar below the page notifies you that your Rights Request message has been automatically copied to the clipboard. Paste the text into the DM box and click Send.
📣 IMPORTANT NOTE
The creator must respond with the approval hashtag for the platform to move the content to approved status. If the response doesn't contain the approval hashtag, no action is taken.
In cases where multiple rights requests are sent to a single creator, our system adds an ascending number to the original approval hashtag. For instance, if the approval hashtag is #yes, subsequent requests will be appended as #yes1, #yes2, and so forth.
Monitor Requests: Access the Rights Log section to monitor the status of your rights requests. Here, you'll find a consolidated list of all requests and their statuses.
Finding your approved content: Once the creator replies with the approval hashtag, the content is automatically labeled as "Rights Approved" and moved to the Approved Content tab.
